Texas "Honey" Moon

Earlier this week, we read a few articles regarding the Honey Moon.  Here's a small excerpt of one:

The night leading into Friday the 13th is a lucky time for anyone who wants to see the full “Honey Moon.”
It’s often called a Honey Moon because, as the last full moon before the summer solstice, it takes on an amber tint, similar to the color of honey. The National Weather Service says that color happens because we’re seeing the moon through more of Earth’s atmosphere than during other months.
The Honey Moon is the last full moon before the summer solstice, which falls on Saturday, June 21 in 2014.

Although I missed the June 13th moon, here are my photos from June 14th of the Honey Moon:

The kids were very unimpressed by the moon, as it looked like any other moon to them.  Apparently modern technology has ruined the natural wonders of the sky as it didn't play music, shoot lasers, or explode.  However, Chad and I thought it was beautiful.
